Microkatu
We are located in Savilahti, Kuopio, next to the Prisma department store. Renowned as a vibrant and international campus, Microkatu is home to the University of Eastern Finland, Savonia University of Applied Sciences, Savo Vocational College, and more than 150 companies and organisations.

The versatile Microkatu complex has office, laboratory and other special spaces available for rent. The campus with its premises is located along good transport connections and can be easily reached by car, bicycle, walking or public transport. There are plenty of parking spaces available for tenants and guests in the parking garage and in the yard area.
The campus has three restaurants, among other things, as well as a hairdresser, two masseuses, two driving schools and a car wash. Our CoWork environment increases flexibility and enables modern hybrid work.
Microkatu has grown, developed and diversified following intense new building development. Today, the complex comprises a gross floor area of more than 100,000 square metres. Microkatu forms a unique operating environment where education, research and business meet.

Microkatu Services
The workday is at its best when everything runs smoothly. At Novapolis, all the essential services you need throughout the day are close at hand, and help is always available when you need it. Meeting and CoWork spaces, reception services, restaurants and wellbeing services make everyday work easier. We take care of the work environment so you can focus on what matters most.
Parking
Microkatu has contract parking spaces in parking houses and in a warm parking garage.
Short-term/guest parking is possible in the parking house and yard areas. In the yard areas, guest places are marked with traffic signs.
Payment with mobile apps (EasyPark and Parkman).
The automatic camera recognition of the parking application must be turned on already when driving into the parking garage.

CoWork is a flexible work environment designed for the needs of everyday work. Novapolis’ largest and most comprehensive CoWork space is located in the M section of Microkatu, offering a comfortable environment for remote work, focused work, meetings and networking. Two other CoWorks are available at Viestukatu Campus.
The space is available to our tenant customers free of charge as part of their tenancy.
For others, the space is available with flexible options including a day pass, a 10-visit pass or a monthly membership.

Everyone is warmly welcome to hold meetings at Novapolis, whether you are one of our office tenants or not.
We have over 40 versatile spaces suitable for everything from meetings and workshops to more relaxed evening events for groups of 1–150 people.
Most of our meeting rooms are equipped with hybrid meeting technology, and our location with excellent transport connections makes getting here easy.
In addition to our meeting rooms, the impressive 7th Heaven Lounge at Microkatu is available for bookings and provides a stylish setting for sauna evenings, celebrations and meetings. In Viestikatu there is a similar Five Star Lounge -space.

The restaurants offer a varied selection of lunch options and are open to everyone. They also provide catering for our meeting rooms as well as for customers’ own premises.
